A Full Spectrum of
Shopping and Services
Market Park San Jose’s thoughtfully planned North Village will be built around the nearly 11-acre Market Place shopping center. This pedestrian-oriented and bicycle-friendly center will be anchored by a major regional or national supermarket and will also feature a drug store or other anchor retailer, gas station, restaurants, plus ground-floor shops and personal service businesses. Potentially, upper floors could include residential or office uses.
Retail or restaurants are also envisioned at street level in the modern, mid-rise apartment villages that are part of the housing mix at Market Park. And retail will be a key component of the busy transit center, which links the community directly to the only BART station serving the city of San Jose. Scheduled to open in August, 2017.
The transit area will also serve as a vibrant town center, with retail stores in ground-floor spaces surrounding walkable plazas, and office space in the towers above. The overall result will be a highly livable, active, urban experience unlike any traditional suburban lifestyle.
